About the Image
Lamarck Col, 12900' above sea level at the edge
of Kings Canyon National Park in California, is a lightly used
approach to Darwin Lakes and the Evolution Canyon. It is about
3500 feet of steep climbing from North Lake. On the west side
of the col, there is no trail -- you scramble over huge boulders
to get to the lakes below. It was worth the effort for this breath-taking
view.
The
image has a 4:1 aspect ratio. A border is provided to make
framing easier. The
width of the border is 3/8 inch per edge on a 12 inch tall
print.
